Q: What are some great day trips to take with kids in the San Francisco Bay Area?


I would love to take my nephews out for a fun day trip. They live in Menlo Park and I live up in Pacific Heights. Any good day trips that are within an hour and a half from each location? The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a good one, I know. Any thing else that comes to anyone's mind?

A: Kids love San Francisco Zoo & The Academy of Arts and Sciences



I just went to the SF Zoo a couple weeks ago and had a blast. A bunch of kids were there with their parents having a blast. Who doesn't love seeings all the wild animals? Not expensive unless you eat there of course, but for under $50 for my wife and I is a good deal.

The Academy of Arts and Sciences is also another fun trip for little ones. Great dinosaur exhibit, albino alligator, and butterfly enclosure.
